NB These adverts are designed for proper use in a toolbar advertising system and are provided as a guide to get you going. They all work! The onus is on you, the user to meet editorial guidelines and requirements of any of the places you use one liners. Remember we are a club so please use the contents with discretion.

All one liner systems need to be checked! If an advert is not working, it is up to you to change the text, the format, the colors, the backgrounds, and the destination URLS untill you find a combination that works. A good ad gets around a 0.2% to 0.5% click through so it is well worth fine tuning your ads untill you achieve this range. Below this you are wasting everyone's time - this includes your own and your potential visitor's time.

Text, Colors and Formats

In our experience the following color combinations work:-

If you are using HTML ie you are an Elite or Pro member at Instant Buzz for example, you can use colors and colored backgrounds. Always use complimentary colors. Do not use red and black as a combination. Make sure to have a stark contrast between the font color and the background as it is more likely to catch the surfer's eye. Be creative and experiment. The following color combinations are presented as a guide and generally work very well:-

We prefer Arial as the text of choice and we don't like italics. This is our personal choice. You must experiment and fine tune your ads until you find a good combination.

Landing Pages

You must chose a landing page for your ad. This can be any URL you want to promote. The statistics show that pages that capture the surfer's details work the best but it could be any URL that you want to send traffic to. Here are some examples of Ultimate Rep based landing pages that work for us:-
